This is FFT HELPING OTHERS 5th Annual rally walk-a-thon to the Washington Capitol but we need help to make it successful.
We are looking for volunteers that can help us to shine in every position and make a positive change.
We are excited that we have the opportunity and the pleasure to be walking in solidarity with many organizations we have invited to this grand event. I hope you will join us this year on October 6, 2023 and volunteer for Domestic Violence Awareness month.
What we need from our volunteers:
- We will have volunteers helping with the many organizations who are coming in solidarity and ensuring they are in the right location at Capitol Hill Seventh Day Adventist church at 914 MassachusettsAvenue NE.
- Some Volunteers will be assisting with set up and breaking down at the Capitol Union Square Area Grounds
- Some will be assisting with Audio and visual at Capitol Grounds and ensuring press is at the right location at Capitol Grounds and volunteering with other assignments as the ADMIN ADVISOR/COORDINATOR STATES
- Help ADMISTRATIVE ADVISER & ASSITANT with any questions for legislators, press or organizations
- Some will assist with helping survivors find the location and where best to park
- Handing out butterflies
- We are also looking for a marketing specialist to help advertise and also spread awareness to all news coverage NOW. WE NEED SUPPORT IN ALL SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS - LIKE TIK TOK, SNAPCHAT, INSTAGRAM, FACEBOOK, AND MORE
- We need someone who will call news, radio, and magazine coverage, get the word out, and arrange interviews for the CEO.
- WE WILL BE PROVIDING ALL VOLUNTEERS WITH A YELLOW SHIRT FOR THE EVENT TO HELP DISTINGUISH FROM SURVIVORS. IF YOU FEEL YOU WANT TO PROVIDE YOUR OWN, YOU CAN.
- ALL NAMES MUST BE SUPPLIED 5 DAYS BEFORE ATTENDANCE.
- ZOOM MEETING ON 3RD OCTOBER TO GO OVER SPECS
- We also need volunteers for our Gala on October 7TH AND HELP BEFORE.
- Volunteer letters and hours of volunteering available for teens and young adults volunteering
All volunteers will be working with my Head Administrative Advisor and Assistant. She will will assist will all information and details.
Survivors will be wearing purple, will be bringing purple pom-poms, and have their banners from their organizations.
We need all volunteers to arrive at location at 9:45 AM
