Court appointed special advocates make a difference in abused and neglected children's lives. Children with a CASA are less likely to re-enter the foster care system, less likely to be re-abused, more likely to receive necessary services and more likely to be adopted than children without a CASA.
The first step in becoming a CASA volunteer is to attend an information session. At the session, guests have the opportunity to hear about the process of advocating for a child who has been abused or neglected. It’s the best way to get the full picture of what’s involved.
