Get an early start for World Cleanup Day! Join staff and volunteers along the hiking trail and around the grounds at Brentsville Courthouse Historic Centre to remove a variety of invasives. If you can pull your shoestrings, you have the skills to help pull destructive invasive Japanese honeysuckle vines. Cutting damaging English ivy vines requires a skill like cutting a partially cooked potato. No experience or knowledge needed. Wear closed toe shoes, long pants, and a long sleeve shirt. Bring work gloves and a hat that can get dirty. If you have a favorite clipper, pruner or sturdy rake, bring it. Meet in the parking lot of Brentsville Courthouse Historic Centre at 12229 Bristow Road, Bristow, VA. Please no pets. This is a good opportunity for scout and student volunteer hours. If you have questions or need accommodations related to disability, please contact Paige Gibbons Backus at pgibbonsbackus@pwcgov.org.
