Saturday, January 1, at 1:00pm at the Brawner Farm parking area, 6501 Pageland Lane, Gainesville
Sponsored by: Prince William Conservation Alliance, Prince William Wildflower Society, National Parks Conservation Association, and the American Battlefield Trust.
Start the new year off on the right foot! Join us to explore the historic area of Brawner Farm, near Pageland Lane at Manassas National Battlefield Park. The National Park Service is managing this area to restore quail and provide wildlife habitat for local flora and fauna along with preserving history.
Meanwhile, land speculators are trying to re-plan the area adjacent to the Battlefield for data centers and other industrial uses, opening speculation about the return of the Bi-County Parkway.
Together we'll explore one special area protected as part of Manassas National Battlefield Park. We'll also share information on the value of this historic parkland and the local, regional, and national benefits of protecting the quality of this unique historic resource.
