Prince William County is preparing a plan to build roads, transit, and trails over the next 20 years. Instead of repeating the pattern used since 1950 (widen and pave new roads), Supervisors have an opportunity to address equity and climate goals as part of the update of the Mobility Chapter of the Comprehensive Plan.
A New plan could focus on creating mobility within the county, encouraging the development of local jobs and restaurants. We could expand the bike/pedestrian network, especially in new Activity Centers. We could invest in reliable transit service for residents to get around Prince William. We could create Safe Routes to schools, parks and libraries. It's time for new, greener thinking. Join us to hear more and share your ideas.
