Do you know what to do during a disaster? Is your emergency preparedness kit ready to go? September is National Preparedness Month and we want YOU to be ready to take on disaster situations! The 2021 theme is “Prepare to Protect. Preparing for disasters is protecting everyone you love.”
Volunteer Prince William and the City of Manassas Office of Emergency Management will be hosting their first ever Preparedness Scavenger Hunt at the 38th Annual Fall Jubilee celebration on Saturday, October 2, 2021, from 9:45am to 12pm!
We are searching for 20 teams of up to 5 people each to participate and compete in this exciting event! Team members can include friends, families, and organizations. Further event details will be shared with participating teams after the registration period has been extended to October 1, 2021.
We’ll be giving out door prizes and items to start your own emergency preparedness kit all while learning about the importance of preparing for disaster situations that could happen at any time.
Please register online at www.manassasva.gov/hunt. If you have any questions, please contact Claudia at ccalderon@volunteerprincewilliam.org.
