We are recruiting volunteers who are interested in learning how to deliver our interactive and educational Recipes for Disaster program.
The Volunteer Prince William Disaster Services Program provides disaster preparedness training and education programs throughout the community. We offer several classes that target general emergency preparedness for youth and adults. Volunteer Prince William serves Prince William County and the Cities of Manassas and Manassas Park.
In this Train-the-trainer session you will learn to use our Recipes for Disaster curriculum to demonstrate how to feed a family of four for three days without electricity and general emergency preparedness skills. Following a short video presentation about preparing for emergencies, audience participants will be treated to a non-cooking demonstration followed by a taste test.
We would love to have you join our team of volunteer trainers who assist with public education efforts! Help us make the Prince William area more resilient.
