Bristoe Winter Hut Work Day, January 24, 2026

We are in need of volunteers to help finish roofing the winter hut log cabin at Bristoe Station. The framing is up, but we need help attaching the boards to finish the roofing. This involves lifting, hammering, cutting with a handsaw and chisel, drilling, and operating a power driver. This is January and it will be cold, so please come prepared. Warm work boots, hats, gloves, a good jacket, and maybe even a thermos of a hot drink are recommended. Due to the lifting nature of the project, this is recommended for teens and adults. All tools are provided. However, if you have a favorite hammer, bring it.
