Who We Are
Community Care Networks (CCN) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization whose mission is dedicated to creating opportunities for individuals with disabilities. CCNassists people, including veterans, with mental and physical disabilities, by providing life-enhancing opportunities. Active involvement in the community is a priority, but those opportunities for disabled individuals with low incomes can be difficult to obtain. CCN will strive to provide meaningful experiences for our members. CCN's core value is CARING, and we are dedicated to caring for and changing lives, one person at a time.
What We Do
Our founder, Pamela Brinkley Lucas, is a disabled veteran dedicated to helping and caring for others. A graduate of UNC at Chapel Hill, retired US Army Military Officer, adjunct University Professor and Entrepreneur, she has a tremendous amount of diverse experience. While currently managing group homes that provide residential care for adults with developmental disabilities, Pamela decided to dedicate her life to enhancing the lives of others. Her passion for serving others was reignited following a conversation with a disabled individual in her community who informed her that he wanted to go to football games and on vacations; however, he did not have the money or other means to do so. At that moment, Pamela officially began her philanthropic mission and Community Care Networks was created. CCN will grant individuals a chance to live fulfilling lives. The purpose of CCN is to respond to social needs of disabled individuals in our communities.
Pamela, Founder & President of Community Care Networks (CCN) has a vision for CCN, to provide assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities and disabled veterans who simply cannot afford things that most Americans take for granted. Pamela understands the importance of individuals being active in the community. She cares about the opportunities afforded to them and will create the platform and initiatives necessary to make a better life for our members.
