Who We Are

Transitional Residences:

St. Margaret of Cortona Transitional Residences  serves homeless parents with minor dependent children, with the time and support they need to stabilize employment, gain work skills and pay down debt after they have exited an emergency shelter. Participating families  are provided with low-income housing and varying levels of assistance following their departure from an  emergency shelter.  St. Margarert of Cortona staff and volunteers offer a wealth of Life Skills and  Financial Literacy classes, employment training, and personal case management  to residents. Participants recognize their worth and strengths in private  apartments allowing them to move toward self sufficiency in an environment  that values their dignity.

What We Do

St. Margaret of Cortona Transitional Residence is a program of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Arlington. Residents must be at least 18 years of age and in custody of at least one child.
