Founded by Mayor Derrick Wood, the Derrick Wood Foundation invests in people, because when leaders grow, communities thrive. Through mentorship, education, and service, we equip individuals to lead, grow, and transform the world around them.
What We Do
The Derrick Wood Foundation provides the following services:
- Youth Leadership Mentorship - Hands-on programs that develop leadership skills in young people.
- Scholarships - Financial support to help students achieve their educational goals.
- Tools for Teachers (New in 2025) - Providing essential classroom supplies to educators in need.
- Turkey With a Purpose - Annual Thanksgiving meal giveaway to support local families.
- Global Impact in Ghana - Delivering education and training to communities in Ghana.
