Who We Are
Puerto Rican Alliance of Northern Virginia, Inc. (PRANOVA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, which was founded to fill a vital need for cultural representation, community support, and advocacy for Puerto Rican families in Northern Virginia. In 2023, PRANOVA organized the first-ever Puerto Rican Festival in the DMV area, hosted in Manassas, VA, bringing together thousands to celebrate Puerto Rican music, food, and traditions. The festival has since grown into the largest cultural event hosted in the City of Manassas. PRANOVA also leads efforts to support local families in need, including the annual Thanksgiving Dinner initiative, which provides meals to families within the City of Manassas and Prince William County. Looking ahead, PRANOVA is actively raising funds to expand its programs and increase community impact. Planned initiatives include: Puerto Rican Veterans Recognition Program to honor veterans and provide emergency assistance to them and their families. Disaster Relief Efforts Fund to respond quickly to emergencies in Northern Virginia and Puerto Rico. Educational Grant Program to provide scholarships and resources for Puerto Rican youth. Rooted in pride, service, and community, PRANOVA Inc. continues to build bridges between Puerto Ricans, allies, and the broader community through culture, compassion, and collaboration in the DMV.
