Who We Are
Our mission is to create an environment where families transform their narratives from poverty to possibility. We envision historically deficient communities being holistically transformed, leaving a legacy of health, strength and prosperity. In January of 2021, Legacy Impact was founded to create a nonprofit that goes beyond crisis response. The Founding Director and board member saw how COVID only highlighted the issues of poverty that had always been in Manassas City. Legacy Impact looks to end generational poverty cycles by considering the four pillars of health, education, housing and employment. After months of research, professional analysis, and taking the time to hear from the underserved community, Legacy Impact moved into its first initiative of English as a Second Language Classes, under the pillar of education. Its second initiative, under the pillar of employment, is the Teacher's Assistant position. Further program expansion came about with the Women Empowerment Workshops, which are under the pillar of health. Legacy Impact continues to grow to holistically invest in underserved families, collaborate with other organizations, and be a local nonprofit that truly celebrates and shows every individual that their life has immeasurable value!
What We Do
Legacy Impact facilitates adult English as a Second Language classes as well as Women Empowerment Workshops, which highlight both mental and physical health education and empowerment.
