Who We Are
Volunteer Prince William (VPW) is the coordinating agency for all court-related alternative community service work (ACS) in Prince William County (PWC), for both adult and juvenile cases. We routinely process referrals from the 31st General District Court and PWC probation offices, with our fees paid by the county.
Cases from out of district jurisdiction courts or probation offices, as well as self-referrals opting to perform ACS prior to court, are subject to a fee of $150 payable at intake, plus $1 per hour of community service.
Payment can be made by cash (exact amount only), money order made payable to Volunteer Prince William or credit card.
ACS clients provide relevant background information, sign a contract to perform ACS, and are then referred to an ACS site as convenient as possible to their home location and schedule. The entire intake process takes only 15-20 minutes. Upon notice of completion from the ACS site, we provide a letter for the client. Intake interviews are conducted by appointments or email weekdays only, from 9am - 4pm. Please review your court date and take this into consideration.
If you have a completion letter, please email or FAX it to us using the information below. You may also drop it off at the office during business hours or slip it through the mail slot in our front door.
To start the Intake Process, please click here for the intake forms. If you are 18 or older please sign the "Adult Waiver and Release" form. If you are 17 or younger please sign the "Juvenile Waiver and Release" form. The "Client Intake" and "Standards of Conduct" forms apply to both adults and juveniles.
