Volunteer: Volunteer Health Insurance Marketplace 2016 Open Enrollment Outreach Team

Take Care Community Ourtreach, Inc. has been approved by CMS as a Certified Application Counselor (CAC) Organization.  This allows Take Care Community Outreach, Inc.'s staff and volunteers help members of the community understand, apply, and enroll for health coverage through the Marketplace.  Open enrollment for 2016 will begin November 1, 2015.  We are currently looking for members of the community that would like to volunteer to help with planning for the upcoming 2016 Open Enrollment season.  Volunteers will help with outreach in the community and also help identify areas in the community to hold enrollment sessions.  Volunteers may also train to become Certified Application Counselors if they would like.  All training to become a Certified Application Counselor is free and able to be completed online on your own time.  Please respond to need if interested!

Perfect for interns to gain experience in the nonprofit sector.  Will be responsible for assisting the President with the day to day functions of the organization.  Duties and responsibilities include: making telephone calls to clients or other community organizations, updating the organizations website, scheduling meetings, post meeting follow up emails, answering emails from clients and ensuring they are directed to the correct staff member. 

Qualifications: Must have at least a HS Diploma or GED, advanced written and spoken English skills, excellent telephone etiquette is required.  Must also be computer literate with experience managing and sending emails, willing to train on updating website.  Must possess exceptional time management and organizational skills, be a self motivator and a team player.  Bilingual a plus.  May be asked to provide a writing sample.
