Prepare various financial reports and ensure that all financial data is accurate, timely, and complete for management review. Participate in audits by internal auditors. Provide advice and counsel to the Executive Director regarding financial issues. Develop yearly budgets for the organization.
Close accounting books on a monthly basis and make all appropriate journal entries. Reconcile various accounts including payroll, voluntary life, employee medical, deductions, etc. and out of the ordinary issues must be reported to the Treasurer.
Supervise all accounting staff and accounting activities, including but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales, store sales integration, office deposits, rag sales, surplus, and other special financial programs.
Reconcile Bank Statements
Quarterly Tax Returns
Create and follow up with Partners Monthly contributions.
Ensure the accurate and timely processing of all accounts payable invoices and credit card bills
Track and categorize expenses
Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with the organization’s policy and accepted accounting practices.
Assist in maintaining and tracking project budgets.
Assist with other projects as needed.
