Winter Hut Building at Bristoe Station Battlefield

Calling volunteers to help with the construction of the Civil War Winter Hut at Bristoe Station Battlefield. We need one team to help complete installing the roof boards and gabled end boards. This involves climbing a ladder, using a level, and using a hammer and nails to secure boards to the boards on the roof and sides. We have some hammers to share, but if you have your own favorite one, bring it. The second team will work on adding mud between the logs to seal it for winter. This is a great activity for families with younger children or Cub Scout groups.  If interested in bringing a group, please contact Lance Russell as listed below.
