This is a volunteer position for a new non-profit organization.
Basic Job Description:
Create and organize activities to raise funds or otherwise solicit and gather monetary donations or other gifts for an organization. May design and produce promotional materials. May also raise awareness of the organization's work, goals, and financial needs. Experience with non-profit fundraising.
- A commitment to working for the voluntary sector;
- A network of contacts and potential funders to bring to the organization; Experience of organizing and contributing to events;
- Proven relationship building skills, with the ability to engender trust and loyalty from involved parties;
- The ability to calmly manage several strands of work at the same time; Good report writing skills;
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal;
- Excellent presentation skills;
- A demonstrated high level of drive whether working as an individual or as part of a team;
- Excellent working knowledge of English – written and spoken
