The last day of the year tending to the wildlife garden at Merrimac Farm is nearly upon us and there's still plenty of work to do. On September 21st, we'll need help pulling trees, removing plants, clearing paths, hanging deer deterrents, taking inventory, and cleaning the very small pond. Please feel free to bring your own tools, especially to cut and remove the small trees we'll be dealing with, but we'll also have tools and gloves available for use. We'll be working for 3 hours starting at 8:30 or 9:00 am.
This is a great opportunity to support native wildlife, get outside, and welcome the changing of the seasons. Find more information on Merrimac Farm here.
Directions
To get to the Stone House: When you are on Deepwood Lane, drive past the North Entrance to the VERY END of the road. Deepwood Lane dead ends at the Stone House. The road will transition from paved to gravel and become more narrow. Continue to follow the road to the end. Park at the Cedar Run Parking lot and walk in from there.
Thank you for your help!
