Volunteer Opportunities From: Volunteer Prince William

Partners for Telehealth Solutions (PFTHS) is currently seeking executive board members with experience in fundraising, marketing, strategic planning, finance, telehealth policy and IT to help us reach our desired goals. Legal and financial expertise is particularly needed.

Specific Tasks

Participate regularly by attending scheduled board meetings, committee or task force meetings as assigned, orientation sessions and special meetings as appropriate.

Commit to serve on at least one standing committee or task force and to accept special assignments.

Spend time studying and evaluating issues to become informed and prepared to discuss and vote on issues facing PFThS. Each board member is expected to vote their position after careful consideration of the issue. Tasks which will require preparation and a vote by Board members include:  

Decisions on issues, policies, priorities, goals and objectives; Participation with other Board members and staff in the formulation, updating, and approval of long range strategies and objectives; Nomination and election of members and officers of the Board; Monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of the projects and programs and assure these projects and programs are progressing toward achieving stated objectives; and, Approval and monitoring of the operation and plant, property, and equipment budgets. Support the resolutions and actions of the Board of Directors irrespective of personal opinion as to any such resolution or action. Make a personal and/or business contribution to PFTHS’s current support development needs, as well as solicit funds from others in annual support and  other development campaigns. Promote the mission, goals, and objectives of PFTHS to increase public awareness, understanding and support of the organization. If necessary, seek assistance from other board members to enable each member to successfully fulfill the above level of commitment.

Dues for the Board of Directors are $1,00 per year and can be paid on a semi-annual or annual basis.

It's a Volunteer on Wheels!

These volunteers serve a vital function with Parterns for Telehealth Solutions by picking up donations of cell phones and goods from donors and bringing the items back to The Linen Closet.  VOWS provide cell phone pick-up containers in various locations and switch out the containers when they are full.  VOWs also deliver goods to Veterans who request goods through The Linen Closet.  All donations are local and we try to maximize your time by having you make pick-ups in close geographical areas.

Schedules are flexible and we can accommodate your schedule. Got a car and a valid driver's license? Then become a VOW!

Partners for Telehealth Solutions is currently seeking volunteers to help with our social media pages.  This is a great opportunity for students needing to complete community service hours or just those who want to give back! 

Tasks will include drafting posts related to telehealth services or veterans, posting photos of events, general maintenance of Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram, creating and posting Facebook Ads, promoting social media pages, increasing engagement to boost presence in local community.

Attributes listed for this need are simply suggestions of what would be helpful but we are open to all walks of life and all types of background/experience!
