Volunteer: Help a Refugee/Immigrant Family in Manassas | [URGENT] Volunteer Team Needed

Turn compassion into action. Stand with our immigrant neighbors when they need it most.

As newcomer families across the country face systemic challenges and financial uncertainty, we are seeking compassionate individuals to form small welcome teams. These teams walk alongside new neighbors in Prince William County by providing practical help, community connections, and reliable friendship.

Form a Small Support Team (an NST - Neighborhood Support Team)

Gather a team of 3–4 friends, neighbors, coworkers, or members of your faith community to support one individual or family together.

Receive Training & Build Readiness

Complete a brief online WelcomeNST preparedness training.Meet with a WelcomeNST Specialist to learn how to provide effective, culturally responsive support.Participate in advocacy opportunities, including community events and contacting elected officials.

Support Access to Legal Resources

Help connect families with trusted legal services through our partnerships in your area.

Provide Practical & Relational Support

Assist with food, medication, and transportation as families experience financial hardship.Accompany individuals to medical appointments, immigration hearings, and other important appointments when appropriate.Build genuine friendships that reduce isolation by sharing meals, attending community or faith events together, and helping families feel welcomed, connected, and supported.
