2014 Northern Virginia Tour de Cure
Day of Event Planning Volunteers
Do you enjoy event planning? Are you detail oriented and possess excellent management and organizational skills? We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated volunteer committee members to make the 2014 Northern Virginia Tour de Cure a fun and exciting day for all! Tour de Cure is the American Diabetes Association’s signature cycling event which takes place in 80 markets across the country. The Northern Virginia Tour de Cure is one of the top ten in the nation and we are looking to hit our $1,000,000 fundraising goal in 2014 and we need your passion to make it a success!
The event will take place on June 1, 2014 in Reston, VA and we are looking for volunteers who can help from April-June. As event coordinators, this team will be in charge of ensuring that the day of the event is an all-around success. Responsibilities include organizing food and refreshments for the rider party and numerous rest stops along the route, coordinating with vendors and entertainment, and helping to make the event day the best it can be for riders, volunteers, and sponsors. We ask that committee members volunteer 5 hrs a month. This is a great leadership opportunity for individuals looking to get more involved in their community and make a difference in the lives of individuals living with diabetes.
