What inspired the Letter Carriers' Food Drive?
“Our goal is to help restock community food banks, pantries and shelters for needy families throughout the summer,” NALC President Fredric Rolando said, “and to build upon the millions of pounds of non-perishable food collected since 1992 from millions of generous postal customers.”
ACTS is collecting food from 5-6 local Post Offices in the span of this seven hour event On May 12th for our Hunger Prevention Center.
We seek volunteers with their own trucks to sign up for two hour shifts to pick up donation from assigned Post Offices and drop off the donations at the Food Pantry.
