We are recruiting volunteers who are interested in staffing a Volunteer Reception Center (VRC) during locally declared disasters. This proven method developed in FL, ensures help goes where it is needed most by matching volunteers to unmet community needs.
The Volunteer Prince William Disaster Services Program provides volunteer management as recommended in the National Response Framework. A Volunteer Reception Center is activated by request of local government. Volunteers are assigned to work with nonprofit organizations and/or government agencies to provide needed assistance. Your job will be to provide the interviews and matching - a great way to help without getting your hands dirty or your feet wet! Volunteer Prince William serves Prince William County and the Cities of Manassas and Manassas Park.
