Fairfax County Volunteer Solutions

Volunteer Solutions recruits and connects volunteers with meaningful opportunities that improve the lives of older adults, adults with disabilities and family caregivers in Fairfax County.

We are a partnership program of Fairfax County’s Departments of Family Services, Health and Neighborhood and Community Services.

We match volunteers with opportunities according to interest, program needs and location.

Our volunteers help older adults and adults with disabilities maintain quality of life and stay in their homes for as long as they choose. We help individuals with grocery shopping, social visiting, transportation to medical appoints/errands and by delivering Meals on Wheels. We also help older adult participants in group settings at senior centers and adult day healthcare centers in a variety of ways. If you have a gentle, mild-mannered pet, you may also be interested in our Pets On Wheels program.
