Prince William Humane Society

Prince William Humane Society is a non-profit animal welfare organization located in Dumfries, VA. Our Mission is saving lives by promoting animal welfare and adoption of homeless pets by advocating for the homeless animals, supporting adoption programs, providing financial assistance for sick and injured animals, subsidizing spay/neuter procedures and elevating public awareness. We are a community partner with the Pr. Wm. Cty. Animal Shelter transferring homeless pets from the shelter to our Adopt Shop where we care for, socialize, train and comfort them until they are adopted into their forever homes. 

The Prince William Humane Society works diligently to save pets lives by creating and implementing new programs such as Seniors 4 Seniors and Warrior Buddies Adoption Programs designed to reduce euthanasia and substantially increase adoptions as well as establishing an off-site adoption center to house, care for, socialize and successfully adopt homeless pets. Our Poor Animals Welfare and Surgical (PAWS) Fund saves the lives and limbs of homeless shelter pets who would otherwise be euthanized. All our programs subsidize, serve and save the lives of all homeless pets at the  P.W. County Animal Shelter and the P.W. Humane Society Adopt Shop.
