Through partnership with the local church, small business, foundations and other community service nonprofit organizations, we work together to meet the spiritual, physical, and personal needs of individuals and their families with the ultimate goal of bringing accessible and affordable health care to all communities where Neighbor's Keeper serves. We help people enroll in FAMIS, Medicaid, Plan First, GAP Governor's Access Plan, and make referrals to the local area clinics and work closely with United Health Center at St Margarets and the Greater Prince William Community Health Center.
What We Do
Neighbor’s Keeper (NK) is founded on the idea that to be a neighbor is to open one’s heart and reach out to help anyone in need, setting aside barriers that exist in society believing all human beings have worth. Neighbors Keeper is an nondenominational social service organization established to be a community educator benefitting health care consumers. NK strives to promote Healthy Communities throughout Southeast Fairfax and Prince William Counties collaborating with partners in the faith based, for profit and non-profit sectors. NK is a Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) Certified Application Counselor and Navigator Designated Organization selected to perform outreach, education and enrollment assistance activities under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) programs also known as Healthcare.gov and SHOP.
