Who We Are

Internship/Mentorship Program

We are one of the key food distributors in Washington, DC., primarily serving Ward 7 & 8, the two most under-resourced wards in the city. We also serve Northern VA, Suburban MD and Woodstock, VA.


What We Do

Here’s a chance to work closely with the Executive Director in a win-win learning situation involving a variety of projects including organizing food drives; receiving food donations; distributing food to churches, food banks, soup kitchens and shelters; delivering food to seniors, the homebound and the disabled; assisting with the Women & Children Outreach program; distributing food and clothing to the homeless; conducting internet research, assisting in event coordination, marketing bookkeeping, scheduling, grant writing and donor solicitation.

Qualifications:
Dynamic, flexible, excellent interpersonal skills, Microsoft Office proficient, good typing skills, attention to detail, organized, a person of integrity, motivated to learn, energetic and outgoing

Hours: Flexible
Pay: Non-paid
