Boxes of Basics

We are a small community nonprofit located right in the heart of Old Town Manassas. Since its launch in September 2018 we have provided Boxes of Basics to over 400 local children. We work with other local school, charity, community, religious and government organizations who help us identify specific children in need. Boxes of Basics are distributed to the referring organization who in turn delivers the box directly to the child. We do not work directly with families or children.

We provide local children in need with quality new and gently used clothing. Each Box of Basics contains an entire seasonal wardrobe including school outfits, play clothes, pj's, "Sunday Best" outfit, shoes, new socks, new underwear, a winter coat and an age appropriate book. Each outfit is hand selected, wrapped and labeled by our volunteers. When a child received a Box of Basics we want them to feel like they are opening a gift.
