Girl Scouts of the Nation's Capital

Who We Are

Girl Scouts is a world-wide organization for girls in grades K through 12. The program offers a variety of activities to build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.

What We Do

In Girl Scouts, girls are encouraged to explore new ideas, attempt new skills and discover more about themselves and others. As they discover more about the world around them and develop connections with others, they learn the ability to take action and facilitate change in their communities. They acquire self-esteem and confidence as they progress in their decision-making skills and leadership abilities. They learn how to give back to their communities and expand upon the opportunities available to them.
